The following information on growing game birds is from the pamphlet Purina Gamebird Programs.

Starting: Chicks should be started with a hover temperature of 90° F the first week. Lower it 5° per week for the next three week. In warm weather, heat is usually not necessary after the fourth week. Feed game bird startena ration on paper for the first week. Provide feed in feeders during the 0-6 week period. The following space requrements are necessary:

Game birds need lots of water to grow fast and stay healthy. Clean fresh water should be provided at times. These are the water space requirements:

Choose Blue-back Ringneck Pheasant eggs & chicks if you want flighty birds for hunting or field trials. Choose Mongolian Ringneck Pheasant eggs & chicks if you want a heavier bird for butchering and smoking. Eggs & chicks are shipped every Monday in specially designed transport cartons via priority or express mail. Orders for eggs or chicks must be received the Thursday before the desired shipping date. Prices do not include shipping. Check with the state agency in your state that controls wildlife management to see if you need a permit to possess and sell Ringnecks or Chukars. It is best to obtain the permit before purchasing eggs or chicks.
