Our
Story
At the end of 2025, Rogier Poultry Supplies acquired Smith Poultry & Game Bird Supply, owned by Terry and John Smith. We are very excited to continue their business and strive to maintain the same values, expertise, and principles Terry and John set forth. Whether they were at a poultry show or you ordered from their website, you encountered a friendly voice that welcomed you back time and time again.
During our visits with the Smith’s this past year, their genuine care for all their customers was clear. For 37+ years, they poured their heart and soul into the poultry fancy, with their cherished customers quickly becoming friends and family. You have filled their hearts with joy, laughter, and treasured stories that will follow them into their much-deserved retirement. This transition has been hard for them, but they look forward to “taking it easy.”
Their travels have taken them across the United States, where they set up their supply booth at poultry shows, swaps, and auctions. In later years, John traveled alone, and Terry handled online orders and shipments from home. Their very first poultry show was in Shawnee, OK, and their last show, to finish out their career, was to be in Shawnee this past December. Due to health reasons, they could not attend.
Over the years, The Smith’s received several awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006 from the APWS (American Pheasant & Waterfowl Society). In 2021, John was honored for his many years of service to the poultry breeders by the APA.
John and Terry have been very faithful in supporting and advertising for over 11 poultry-related organizations. Throughout the years, they also made numerous donations to the Junior Shows for the youth. They firmly believe the poultry fancy needs the youth to grow and continue the shows.
We carefully listened to all of Smith’s advice, studied Terry’s meticulous organization skills, and took in all of John’s poultry show knowledge and are ready to expand and join our businesses. They have entrusted us and we could not be more appreciative of them.
Let’s continue to remember the Smiths’ legacy by sharing your favorite memories, whether with your friends or us, while we work diligently to continue their beloved poultry and game-bird business.
